The French government finally acknowledges that the mandatory 35-hour work week is a financial disaster. Nor has it achieved its purported objective, the reduction of the unemployment rate in France.

More than just a financial disaster, this has always been a pretty big violation of personal liberty. Imagine being told that you cannot work more than a certain number of hours per week. Regardless of your drive or how much money you may need to make ends meet. Its nice to see them admit that this was such a bad idea.
Now we just need to get the IWW on the same page.
