An Eloquent Tribute To Chicago

Lynne Kiesling

Adam’s eloquent tribute to Chicago is one of the most delightful pieces of writing on my hometown that I’ve seen in a very long time. I recommend it highly.

And not just because he’s very kind and generous to me, or because he wrote it on my sunporch … but because he captures some of the features that I absolutely adore about Chicago.

  1. Good stuff. Still miss Chi-town.

And, by the way, if Toons was your suggestion, my esteem grows immensely. With DeLeece for bruch, Toons for burgers, and Cullens for drinks after, I spent a great deal of time in the corridor.

  2. Toons is our local. We love it. We also like DeLeece a lot, although we try not to eat there too often. You’d be stunned at how much Southport has changed, just since you left! Some really froo-froo little boutiques, which is fine by me. And I have to say that Hi Ricky turning into a Bank One branch has probably had a net positive effect on my daily life!
