“This Is, In Short, A Good Way To Think”

Michael Giberson

We here at The Knowledge Problem don’t do much meta-blogging, which may make us sort of an outlier in the blogging world. But a lot of the blogging about blogging just isn’t that interesting, and, speaking now just for myself, I don’t know that I could do any better.

However, there are some folks who blog about blogging in a thoughtful manner. A good example is Grant McCracken, at “This Blog Sits at the Intersection of Anthropology and Economics,” who has worked out some ideas on why an academic (or other intellectual-worker) may find a blog useful. In his post Blogging: Why we do it he writes, “This is, in short, a good way to think.” Read him and find out why.
