Five Guys in Lubbock: The New Best Burger in Town

Michael Giberson

Five Guys Burgers and Fries opened today in Lubbock.

For over 10 years I lived a few miles up the road from the original store in Arlington, Virginia. It was out of the way for me, too small, almost always crowded and peanut shells littered the floor. It was always worth the trip when burgers were called for. The new store in Lubbock is larger, brighter, and cleaner, but otherwise they have reproduced the atmosphere and food quality of the original.

I may be biased, but as of today I’d say Five Guys has the best burger in town.

  1. I agree wholeheartedly!!! We have several here in Greenville SC and if you want a burger, that’s the place to go. And let’s not forget the mountain of french fries that you get if you order a side of french fries.

  2. I grew up in CA where people worship In’N’Out, and they do have excellent burgers. But after living in VA, there’s no doubt that Five Guys is far superior. I did find it interesting that they both have the red and white color scheme.

  3. I’ve just this morning learned that there is a Five Guys here in Chicago, near the Loyola stop on the el.
